Diagnosis: encephalocele

Congenital or iatrogenic

Clinical team usually knows the diagnosis before the surgery

Occasionally encephalocele may be mistaken as sinonasal polyp clinically

Prevention of meningitis is “paramount”, thus a phone call to notify the clinical team about the diagnosis is necessary.
